Traditional Norfolk Broads Sailing Boat - Farrington 25

The smallest boat in Oliver’s Sailing Holidays fleet, 25ft long, Seabreeze has all the facilities of our larger boats but in a compact two-berth yacht, with heating and shower. She has the traditional gaff rig ideally suited to the Norfolk Broads. She is maintained to a very high standard and sails beautifully in all conditions.

A fabulous week on the beautiful wooden sailing boat, Seabreeze. Oliver’s Sailing Holidays were very helpful at every stage - excellent instructions and tips on what to bring; a well-equipped boat with a nice pack of basics (milk, tea, etc); comprehensive briefing and clear reference instructions on sailing and living on the boat; very helpful with the occasional question later on by phone. The boat itself was lovely to sail, had a silent electric motor to glide along the river ways, and was so well designed - everything you needed, and chatting to other sailors, seemed to include features that other boats lacked. Highly recommended! (Their dayboats for half or full days also looked great.)

We were thrilled to have a sail in the latest in the Oliver’s Sailing Holidays fleet on a sunny day in November 2018 just days after Sea Breeze arrived at Martham Ferry Boatyard. There was a light breeze and straight away we found she was very manoeuvrable, turning easily in the river upstream from the boatyard. We went through the ferry crossing and then turned towards Hickling Broad. Sea Breeze was a delight downwind and we sailed all the way to the Broad. Coming back she was just as easy to handle upwind, creeping along the riverbank and was a joy to tack. She is very comfortable, responsive and in excellent condition. She will suit all types of sailors - from Broads ‘veterans’ like us to less experienced sailors enjoying the Broads experience for the first time.
